The attack on PNS Mehran Base in Karachi has caused a loss of 70 million dollars to Pakistan Navy. As one P-3 Orion price is 36 million dollars. The amount is very big, it would have been better if half of 70 million dollars was spend on security of this base. Furthermore, it is essential that these high security areas be watched by high quality CCTV cameras.
It is hoped that Army will make strict security measures after this security lapse. I fail to understand why Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that this was not a “security lapse”.
