Federal Interior Ministry Tuesday received preliminary report about the naval base attack here, which said outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi outfit was involved in attack at PNS Mehran.
According to a private television channel, the banned group launched the raid in collaboration with other terrorist groups, the report said.
The attackers used rocket propelling guns (RPGs) in attack at the navy base. The terrorists also destroyed a small helipcopter during the attack, the report said.
The fingerprints of the terrorists have been sent to NADRA for matching records and DNA tests were also conducted.
