Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) is planning to re-launch its 70-years old interpretative journal Aalmi Tarjuman-ul-Quran with a new name Tarjuman-ul-Quran. The new journal comprising 112 pages published by Al-Iblagh Trust, under the supervision of weekly “Asia” editor Mirza Muhammad Ilyas. According to an announcement on page 2 of the journal, the decision was taken after Maulana Maudodi’s son and Tarjuman-ul-Quran publisher Hussain Farooq Maudodi asked JI to either pay the royalty for the journal or stop publishing it. The new journal comprises articles of Khursheed Ahmad, Gohar Malsiani, Goharur Rehman, Farid Paracha, Abdul Ghaffar Aziz, Riziul Islam Nadvi and SA Jahan.
