An explosion damaged a bridge on the main highway linking Islamabad to the north-western city of Peshawar on Monday, but caused no casualties, police said.
Traffic was suspended between the two cities after the explosion near a town Rashkai, motorway police spokesman Javed Chaudhry said.
“There were no casualties. The explosion has damaged the rear part of the bridge,” he said, adding that one car was partially damaged.
He further said the north side of the motorway had been damaged and added that they were collecting further information.
