Tanvir eyes clean sweep against Afghanistan

Skipper of the Pakistan A team Sohail Tanvir hoped that they would sweep the three-match rubber against Afghanistan which will start from May 25 here at Diamond Club ground. While talking to this scribe here, the pacer said that tourist team had not much international experience, however, they would not take an easy opponent in the series. “We will enter the ground full strength and would try to win the battle 3-0,” he said.
The lanky fast bowler further said that it would be an opportunity for him and all other players to get the berth in the national team after showing their class in the 3-match series against Afghanistan.
“All the guys should toil hard to overcome the rivals because Afghan team defeated Pakistan in the Asian Games that were held at Guangzhou, Chine,” he viewed. To a question, Sohail divulged that he was in contact with the officials of Sri Lankan Cricket League, however, the final deal yet to ink.
“My first effort is to join the national team to show remarkable performance in the international cricket for Pakistan. I am concentrating on my fitness and now I am supper fit for international competitions, “he maintained. Sohail said that he would represent his native town Rawalpindi in the next Twenty 20 domestic cricket fixture. “I will be soon the member of national team after showing notable performance in the domestic cricket and will get the attention of national selectors, “he said.
