Stray kite string injures two

Two brothers, Naeem and Sajjad, residents of Baaghbaanpura’s main market, were injured near Deroghanwala Ghas Mandi when a stray kite’s string strangled them as they were going on their bikes with their family. They were rushed to hospital where their condition is said to be critical.
STABBED FOR CURSING: A shopkeeper stabbed a 25-year-old boy for cursing him in Pir Makki Bazaar in Lower Mall police precincts on Saturday. The deceased, Abbas Masih, a resident of Shahdara who worked at a flower shop near the Pir Makki Darbar, made fun of a shopkeeper, Jahangir. A scuffle started, during which Jahangir took out his knife and stabbed Masih.
