Sindh Katchi Abadis Authority (SKAA) Director General Muhammad Yaseen Shar visited the Larkana and Sukkur on Saturday and held a meeting with officers of both areas. The SKAA DG directed them to expedite work on the regularisation of katchi abadis and identify new ones for inclusion in the master list so that the poor public of the region could benefit from these moves. He also directed them to ensure that the remaining katchi abadis are demarcated with the landowning agencies/Revenue Department.
He instructed Larkana Regional Director Zakir Ali Shah to issue a final notice to defaulters of the Sasti Basti No.4 and seek the help of the police to vacate encroachers from the amnesty plots of the Sasti Basti Larkana. He also ordered that the Old Golimar Allahabad be vacated for launching Phase-II of Sasti Basti. The director general reviewed the progress of ongoing regularisation work of katchi abadis stressed the need to boost lease recovery. He also visited the Sasti Basti No 3 in Sukkur and gave instructions that the allottees that have not been rehabilitated be given notices and the allotment of their plots should be cancelled only after all formalities are completed.
