One thought that Right is Right and Left is Left, and never the two will meet. Not so, as NS who is revisiting his role as opposition leader, may have found to his amazement.
Apparently, he has found friends among Sindhi and Balochi nationalists, traditionally the left of the left. At the same time he is being courted by a retired general, a hawk among hawks, who promises to deliver the Right and the Right of Right. Now that may be an offer NS cannot refuse.

Apparently, the residents of Bilal Town, Abbottabad now renamed Osamabad are enjoying their fifty minutes of fame. It is a down market area, a step lower than a katchi abadi in a metro and as the crow flies just a few hundred metres from Kakul Military Academy. The house itself is at the tail end of the ‘abadi’ and though much larger than the neighbouring residence, its shoddy construction is totally in character with its surroundings. This is the house in which lived the most hunted man in the universe.
It is now barricaded and guarded by military police who are obviously not accustomed to being posted in narrow lanes and protecting houses that look more like confused mini godowns. One guard says and rightly so that he cannot tell which is the front or back of the house. The local kids too have found a new career as guides (a tip is welcome) to the trickle of visitors.
However, the loud mouthed proprietor of the nearest corner shop is lapping up tourist attention. ‘Osama used to come and shop here and have gup shup with us.’ Such a sense of humour could get him into trouble but maybe he is really a look out post; one never knows in Osamabad or this country of ours.
