The federal government is likely to present the budget in the National Assembly on June 4, as IMF demands are yet to be incorporated in the budgetary documents. Earlier, the government was all set to announce the budget on May 28 but talks between the government and the IMF delayed its presentation.
The National Economic Council (NEC), which finalises the budget allocations, was scheduled to meet on May 17 but the meeting was postponed as the chairman of the council, the prime minister, was out of the country. The NEC meeting is likely to be held in the next week.
