At least seven people killed in Balochistan violence

At least seven people, including two personnel of the Frontier Corps, were killed and two other injured in various incidents across Balochistan on Friday. According to police, unidentified armed men hurled a grenade at a vehicle of Frontier Corps in Mand area of Kech district.
The grenade explosion killed two personnel who were identified as Usman and Raziq. Two other officials, Riaz and Rashid, were injured in the attack. Following the incident, Frontier Corps launched a search operation in the area and arrested three people from a house owned by Muhammad Yousuf. Residents strongly protested against the arrests and a shutter down strike was called in Mand town.
In another incident, two people were killed in a landmine blast along the Sindh-Balochistan border area. Sources said Raza Muhammad and Taj Muhammad were passing through a field on foot in RD 109 area when one of them stepped on a landmine. Both men were injured critically in the ensuing explosion and were rushed to a hospital.
However both died at the hospital during treatment. Separately, three people were killed in tribal clashes in various parts of Quetta. Unidentified armed attackers killed a man identified as Haji Khan Muhammad Lagov in Sheikhmanda area of Quetta.
Another man was shot dead in Killi Kamalo locality in the outskirts of Quetta. He was identified as Muhammad Ismail Lahri. Separately, Shah Faisal Lahri was gunned down on Quetta’s Qambrani Road.
