All Chechens killed in Quetta were shot: report

The autopsy report of the five Chechens killed in Kharotabad area of Quetta on Tuesday has revealed that all five people, including three women, were killed by bullets. The autopsy, which was carried out at the Bolan Medical Complex in Quetta on Friday, revealed that one of the women, who is yet to be identified, was seven months pregnant and was shot 12 times.
No bomb-related injury was found on the bodies. Meanwhile, the government of Balochistan has ordered a judicial inquiry into the killing by police and personnel of Frontier Corps in the wake of news reports and public demonstrations that claimed the deceased were unarmed. The FC and police personnel had shot dead the five foreigners in Killi Khaizi area of Quetta after suspecting them of being suicide bombers.
The media and public started questioning the conflicting statements by police and FC officials after the incident, as despite firing hundreds of bullets at the unarmed people, no explosion took place and no explosives were strapped to their bodies as claimed by police and FC. Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani directed for an inquiry through a joint investigation committee with Balochistan Chief Secretary Ahmad Bakhsh Lahri as its head.
However, he later asked the Balochistan High Court chief justice to constitute a tribunal of judges of the high court.
