The city’s temperature fell to 40 degrees Celsius on Friday though the current heat wave is likely to prevail for the next few days. The Met office also forecasted isolated rain and thunderstorms in the next two days.
According to the Met office, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, whereas plains of the country are likely to remain under the grip of the heat wave. Isolated rain and thunderstorms are likely to occur in the Upper Punjab including Lahore, Hazara division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Saturday and Sunday.
