Karachiites could not get any relief despite the decision of KESC workers to end their hunger strike and hold talks with the management.
The KESC had invited its protesting employees to talks at the directive of Water and Power Ministry.
After receiving the talks’ offer, employees, who were on hunger strike for 20 days, called off their protest.
However, despite all this latest development, sufferings of people did not end as prolong outages continued across the city on Friday.
Residents of Manzoor Colony said that their area was without electricity for the past 16 days.
In addition, protests were reported in several parts of the city against the ongoing power cuts.
Residents of Pak Colony and Teen Talwar erected hurdles and blocked traffic to vent their anger at the KESC.
