Mansoor Zaman Khan and Yasir Butt advanced to the next round of the load-shedding-marred FMC International Squash Pakistan Circuit-II being played here at the Punjab Squash Complex. The continuous tripping of electricity not only delayed the start of the ongoing matches but also made the organisers sweat for a generator to get the light in the yard. The organisrs were compelled to bring a generator which turned out to be faulty one and they again ran to bring the other set to start the event. The time the event formally started Yasir and Mansoor took just over half an hour to undo their rivals’ resistance and marched into the next round. Yasir eased past Shoaib Hassan in straight games and similarly Mansoor made short work of Danish Atlas Khan despite a tough opening game. Though all the four games were played in the same pattern but still Mansoor managed to finish of the match in 36 minutes. Senior Vice President Pakistan Squash Federation Syed Razi Nawab will be the chief guest at the semi-final to be played at 1400 hours between Yasir Butt (Pak) and Mansoor Zaman (Pak). Jansher Khan (former world champion) will be the chief guest of the other semifinal to be played at 4pm.
