Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are reteaming for Warner Bros.’ ‘Turkey Bowl,’ a comedy about a pair of guys from football-obsessed towns who lead rival teams in an annual tackle football game, according to Deadline. And, just as the opposing broadcast teams in ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy’ featured cameos by a host of stars, so too the opposing teams here will be sprinkled with well-known faces. The project was sold as a pitch and will be written by ’30 Rock”s Robert Carlock and Scott Silveri, with the story by Owen Burke of Gary Sanchez Productions. Alec Baldwin has already signed up to play Wahlberg’s father; be prepared to be inundated with the names of stars lining up for cameos in the next weeks or months as the hype mill goes into gear for this one (as it has for casting for ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘The Three Stooges’). No word on a director, production start or release date.
