The disease of corruption

Corruption is like a poison which has spread in our existing system. It has pushed our nation to a dead end. It lies everywhere from government offices to private offices. The agencies which are responsible for checking corruption have completely failed in their mission.

It’s a social issue which affects our economy badly. When the rate of corruption increases, the growth of the country decreases. The poor becomes poorer and the rich become richer. There are some social reasons behind corruption: poverty, unemployment, inconsistent economic growth and uncontrollable inflation.

The government has not taken any interest to decrease corruption. There is no check and balance system. Institutions should be made strong for proper working of democratic system. The unemployed people should be provided jobs and the recruitment of people should be based on merit.

Education is a must. Proper system of accountability and checks and balances should be implemented. Proper planning and strictly implemented policies with public support may prove successful in this regard.
