The National Assembly Standing Committee on Information Technology was assured Wednesday that the issue of increase in pensions of the retired employees of PTCL and the TNT would be resolved within 30 days. The Standing Committee on Information Technology was held with Bergees Tahir MNA in the chair to discuss the issues of pertaining to the pensions and development projects of the National Telecom (NTC).
It is pertinent to mention that the 20 percent increase in pensions announced in 2009-10 by the government had still not been given to the retired employees of the PTCL and the TNT. PTCL, approving a new rule under the law ministry’s auspice, had refused to increase the pensions by 20 percent. In its pervious meeting, the committee had directed the law ministry to not to pass laws against the PTCL Act and to resolve the issue within 30 days.
The committee chairman also expressed his displeasure over the NTC’s incomplete Coastal Optic Fibre project which had been initiated in 2002.

I request to the Honurable Chief Justice Ifikhar Choudhry, Mr.Asif Ali Zardari President and Mr.Yousuf Raza Gillani Prime Minister of Pakistan, Please issued order to restore, the increase of pension of PTCL employees immediately. Million of peopel of PTCL prayed for them.
AoA , PTCL, PTET, Standing Committee on Information Technology, Ministry of IT and GOP have not emphasis to Management of PTCL to settle the issue and increase 15% pension and 20% Medical Allowance. Whereas inflation increasing daily, it is difficult to survive.
It is pertinent to mention that to Opt VSS was not right decision, i will advice to all permanent government employees not to Opt VSS or golden shake hand.The GOP and buyer both cheating, not protecting the fundamental rights of employees.

we are vss holder in 2008 no pensions no any other facility but govt law all t&t and ptcl employees need according govt law pensions and give all facility
