North Zone Whites won the Inter-District U-19 Cricket Championship 2011-2012 after securing 24 points, while East Zone Whites came second with 21 points and West Zone Blues were placed third with 18 points at the end of the event on Wednesday.
At LCCA cricket ground, East Zone Whites beat North Zone Whites by five wickets in a two-day match to secured second place in the tournament. East Zone Whites scored 314-6 in first innings with the help of a brilliant hundred by Sami Aslam. He scored more than 600 runs in this tournament.
In reply, North Zone Whites were bowled out for 200 and faced follow on and were all out on 195 in the second innings. North Zone Whites gave a target of 82 runs to East Zone Whites, which they achieved after losing five wickets.
Meanwhile, at Model Town Greens ground, the match between East Zone Blues and West Zone Blues ended in a draw. In another match, at Cricket Center ground, North Zone Blues and West Zone White’s match also finished without any result.
