Mukhtar Mai on Thursday challenged the Supreme Court verdict by filing an application to review her case.
According to a private television channel, the application to challenge the Supreme Court was filed by Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan.
Pertaining to Mukhtar Mai’s rape case, the Supreme Court had sentenced 10 years in prison to one culprit while all other suspects were released due to lack of evidence.
In the review application, Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said that the decision was not according to the interpretation of law and the constitution and requested the Supreme Court to review its decision.
