Post Osama, the Americans have started building-up stories to make a case, all against Pakistan. Intriguing follow-ups are coming out: whether Osama was actively commanding and controlling from the ‘safe house’.
Now the case of six Pakistanis, including two imams, arrested in USA for providing or seeking to provide material support to Pakistan Taliban, is another bombshell. The arrested persons’ families in Pakistan have vehemently denied and expressed their ignorance. That means something new and more sinister is cooking up.
This all is creating doubts and speculations. Keeping in view the hype being created by the US and western media, India is taking out its unquenched revengeful venom. Rehman Malik has given access to Americans to interrogate the wives of bin Laden but if they are handed over to US authorities, it would create a new dilemma, which would further complicate the issue and raise emotional upheaval.
So the authorities need to be careful and the government, institutions, media houses, print and electronic channels, should unite hands together to repulse such onslaughts and do not succumb to nefarious plots to implicate Pakistan and its people.
