The hottest day of the season was witnessed in the provincial metropolis as the mercury touched 46 degrees Celsius on Wednesday as other parts of the country remained under the grip of a severe heat wave. The Met office predicted a hot and dry weather in most parts of the country and added that the conditions were likely to continue in the plains of the country in the next few days. The maximum temperature was 49 degrees Celsius in Dadu.
