‘Revolutionary measures needed to stabilize economy’

Revolutionary measures are needed to be adopted to stabilise the economy and avert impending dangers to the country, Tehriq Minhajul Quran (TMQ) Nazim-e-Aala Dr Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi said on Wednesday.
Talking to a delegation of TMQ office-bearers from Sargodha and Mianwali, he said most political parties were part of the federal government while a certain political party in Punjab was reluctant to play the role of opposition just to remain in power. He said under the current circumstances it was the duty of citizens to play their role as opposition against existing exploitative systems that only empowered political parties.
Abbasi said the government should impose a ban on the import of luxury items and take measures to boost exports. He said special attention should be paid to the farmers and they should be provided with loans and other facilities. He said solid measures should be taken to deal with terrorism to ensure a favourable atmosphere for foreign investment in the country and end unemployment.
TMQ Punjab Ameer Ahmed Nawaz Anjum, GM Malik, Qazi Faizul Islam and others were also present.
