The College of Family Medicine-Pakistan has chalked out an elaborate programme to celebrate the World Family Doctors’ Day on Thursday, with this year’s motto “Courtesy and Care”.
College of Family Medicine-Pakistan President Dr Aziz Khan Tank in a statement said that the message has been communicated to all registered family physicians and qualified general medical practitioners to adopt the current year motto as a permanent feature of their professional responsibilities. He said that a series of seminars and symposia followed by radio and television talk shows have been arranged for the day.
Dr Tank said that the importance of family physicians cannot be ignored in the country as they significantly contribute towards the medical needs of the masses, most importantly at the grassroots level. “It is the general and family physicians who cater to the primary healthcare needs of the masses,” he said.
