College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) trainee doctors will go to Ireland for training in emergency medicine. This was decided in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between CPSP and DRIP, an organization of Pakistani doctors in Ireland, at CPSP regional centre on Tuesday.
The MOU will be valid for ten years and will be monitored bilaterally whereas the future strategy will be discussed in the annual progress report. University College Dublin Emergency Medicine Professor Dr Gerrard Burry, Dublin Director Ambulance Services Dr Macartan Hughes, and DRIP Secretary General Dr Khurram Shahzad, CPSP President Dr Zafar Ullah Chaudhry, CPSP Vice President Khalid Masood Gondal, DGIR Amer Aziz, Dr Muhammad Amjad and Dr Muhammad Asghar Butt were present on the occasion.

I really appreciate continuous efforts of CPSP regarding updating n training of doctors specially through foreign courses. Procedures should be simple to get these courses.
It is praiseworthy in the sense that at least a beginning has been made in the right direction. It is hoped that more specialities will be covered in due course to provide equal opportunities of training to all CPSP trainees.
