Besides rising squash players Nasir Iqbal, Danish Atlas, Tayyab Aslam and Ali Bokhari have been selected for the for the Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship which will be held in Oman, Jordon, from June 22 to 25.
Secretary PSF Mohammad Irfan Asghar told “Pakistan Today” on Monday in his office that a girl would also be selected for the international event in the next couple of days. “Most likely, Zoya Khalid will secure the berth for the Asian Junior squash event,” he added.
He said that Nasir and Danish would take part in the Under-19 competitions while Tayyab and Ali would compete in the Under-17 fixtures. “The girls will contest in the U-19 event. The federation picked up the boys after conducting three-day trials at Mushaf Squash Complex. National coach Jansher Khan, Mohib-ullah Khan and myself observed the trials that were conducted from May 12 to 14 at the same venue,” he concluded.
