Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has constituted a committee to evolve a strategy for curtailing non-development expenditure and optimising the utilization of development expenditure. Senior Advisor to CM Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa will be the convenor of the committee, while Punjab law minister, chief secretary, finance secretary, P&D secretary, Excise and Taxation secretary, Agriculture secretary, Information secretary, Dr Ijaz Nabi and Navaid Hamid along with members co-opted by the convenor will comprise the committee. The committee after detailed deliberation will submit its proposals/ recommendations to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat by May 20.
