Dacoits kill passerby, loot Rs 820,000 from bank

A dacoit gang, during a bank dacoity, killed a tractor driver, snatched a rifle from the bank guard and took away Rs 820,000 before escaping. The incident happened in a broad daylight at a private bank branch located at Samundary Road. The gang disarmed a police constable and a private guard and ripped the front side glass door with gunshots. They took the bank staff hostage at gunpoint and escaped with Rs 820,000.
D-Type Colony and Samanabad police arrived at the scene and took the bank guards and the bank visitors into custody for interrogation. Meanwhile, a tractor driver who was injured during the firing of the dacoits later died in hospital. SSP Investigation Dr. Usman Anwar visited the scene of the crime for investigation. The eyewitnesses later told the police that the dacoits were speaking Punjabi and Pushto.
WOMAN, TWO MEN HELD FROM BROTHEL: Samundary police arrested a woman for running an undercover brothel while a prostitute and her client were also caught red handed from her house. The Samundary city police were tipped off that Hafizan Bibi, a resident of Chak No 464 GB, was running a brothel in her house. The police raided the place and arrested a couple, Saima and Javed, in a compromising position from there while Hafizan was arrested for aiding and abetting the crime.
BODY OF NEWBORN FOUND from CANAL: People’s Colony police are looking for the mother who threw the dead body of her newborn into the canal near Chowk Jhal Khanuana. The body was spotted by the passersby who called the police. It is supposed that the child was born out of wedlock and abandoned alive.
