The working paper of the ‘Victim Assistance Programme’ (VAP) is being finalised and it would be later placed before the competent authority for approval, provincial Consultant on Policy Planning, Public Relations and Home Affairs Sharfuddin Memon said on Sunday. “The first phase would offer optimum compensation to the victims of vehicle snatching/theft and once the first phase is successfully implemented, the programme would be expanded to cover victims of other crimes including robberies,” he Memon told a delegation of the Pakistan Crescent Youth Organisation at his office.
