Lahore Whites qualified for the 1st Amar Cables T20 Veteran Cricket Championship after beating Ali Garh Seniors here on Friday. Batting first, Ali Garh Seniors scored 169 in 16 overs. Haji Asif (70) and Rehan Rauf (26) were the prominent batsmen. Lahore Whites’ Rauf Wain took two wickets for 32.
In reply, Lahore Whites scored 175 for seven in 14.5 overs. Mohammad Riaz (70) led his team to victory. Ali Garh’s Naveed Sufi took two wickets for 28 runs. Riaz was declared the man of the match. ICC Elite umpire Aleem Dar was the chief guest while Ahsan Amer Butt and Amer Ilyas Butt were also present on the occasion.
