Despite the fact that CDGK already sets the price of the milk at Rs60 per litre, many milk sellers are selling it off at rs.66 per litre in the city of the Karachi. The dairy farmers are selling low quality milk at high prices making it difficult to afford for majority of the people. There is no one to keep a check on the prices. When the price of any commodity increases, the sellers starts selling it off at high price from the very next day of the announcement but when there is a decline in the price of any commodity they do not decrease the price immediately.
In the markets, sellers are the king and there is no one to challenge their authority. I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards this issue. Government should issue a price list of every commodity and should assign a committee to ensure its regulation. It should also design strict punishments against the violation of the rules.
