A gas pipeline of sixteen inch diameter blew up in wee hours of Friday, in district Kashmor, suspending gas supply to various areas of Punjab.
According to Police officials, gas pipeline routing towards Punjab from Sui was blown up with explosive material planted in it. The incident took place near Dera Sarki a suburb of Kashmor.
Resultantly, gas supply to various areas of Punjab suspended. Fire-brigade staff was called to put off the fire that broke out after the explosion. Sui officials said that repair works of the affected pipeline would start soon.
