A three-day book fair will commence at 10:30am at the main corridor of the Punjab University Institute of Education and Research (PUIER), New Campus today (Thursday). Punjab University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Dr Mujahid Kamran will inaugurate the book fair where faculties’ deans, teaching departments’ chairmen, colleges’ heads and a large number of students will be present.
Renowned publishers, booksellers and Information Technology companies will setup their stalls to sell books on special discounts. The VC while reviewing the facilities to be provided to the publishers and visitors directed all committees’ conveners to utilize all resources to promote book reading in the era of computer and technology.
The book fair will continue from May 12 – May 14 daily from 10am to 8pm. Critics, literary figures, poets, teachers, politicians, religious leaders and people from every segment of life will also visit the fair.
