Prof Dr Mira Phailbus have donated the late Theodore Phailbus’ much coveted classic and rare collection of almost 1800 videos from 1930 onwards to Kinnaird College for Women on behalf of the family.
The videos were handed over to Kinnaird College Principal Dr Rukhsana David at a ceremony held at the Ghandara Room on Wednesday to commemorate the death anniversary of Theo Phailbus. This donation was also made in recognition that their three daughters, Eila, Shiali and Onjali are graduates of Kinnaird.
The students of media studies, filmmaking, literature, history, drama etc will use the videos. KC Principal Dr Rukhsana David, Vice Principal Dr Nikhat Khan, deans of all faculties and heads of departments of English Literature and Media Studies attended the ceremony.
