Another five missing Balochs found dead

Five more corpses of Baloch missing persons were recovered from different areas of Balochistan on Wednesday. Police said that, on a tip-off, they found three bodies buried in a seasonal drain called Bardan near Punjgoor Town. The decomposed bodies were brought to Punjgoor Civil Hospital from where families of the victims identified them from their shoes and clothes.
The dead included Agha Abid Shah, the vice chairman of Baloch Student Organisation (Azad), Abdus Sattar Shambayzai, chairman of All Balochistan Government Teacher Association and Safeer Ahmad Baloch, a school teacher. All the three Baloch activists had allegedly been whisked away by intelligence agencies in Punjgoor in August last year. The doctors who examined the corpses said that they all had died of bullet wounds in their heads and that the bodies bore the torture marks as well.
Meanwhile, a bullet-riddled corpse was found in Sardar Karaiz area of Wester Bypass in the outskirt of Quetta. The deceased was identified as Sadiq Karim, a resident of Baseema of District Washuk. The doctors said the man had died of bullet wound in his head.
Similarly another decomposed body was also found from the outskirts of Khuzdar. The relatives of the victim identified him as Mohammad Jan who had been picked up by intelligence agencies, a couple of weeks ago. Meanwhile, the Balochistan Government Teacher Association has given call shutter down in Punjgoor over killings of missing persons.
The Baloch National Front while condemning ‘kill-and-dump’ policy of secret agencies has also given a strike call for Thursday. Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), Nasurallah Baloch regretted the fact that all the five victims had been listed as missing persons. He claimed that over 149 bodies of missing persons had so far been recovered during last 9 months.
