The Supreme Court (SC) told the government on Tuesday to explain on May 13 why it was not appointing the chairman and prosecutor general of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) despite repeated orders.
A three-member Supreme Court bench comprising Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain noted that because of vacant posts of NAB chairman and prosecutor general, the bureau had been paralysed.
