Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Senior Minister and leader of Pakistan Muslim league- Quaid (PML-Q),has said that ever since day one when PML- Q gave vote of confidence to Prime Minister, their party was committed that the democratic government would be extended all possible support to complete five-years term.
In the cabinet meeting presided by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, he said in his opening remarks that keeping in view the circumstances and realizing the fact that the government needed political support in order to face the national challenges and the PML-Q decided to join the government.
His party, he added, felt that political stability can bring economic stability and ensure peace in the country.
The Prime Minister while adding to his opening remarks said that the government was focused on the two main priority areas since 2008 and these are to ensure law and order as well as to stabilize economy.
The present situation demands greater political cohesion to confront the challenges.
As a democratic and nuclear state he said “we need to demonstrate greater responsibility.”
