The 1st Nasir Ali Khan Memorial Talent Hunt Tennis Tournament began here at the Bagh-e-Jinnah’s Tennis Academy courts. According to Rashid Malik, former Davis Cupper and tournament director, around 50 players are taking part in the event with main emphasis on talent hunt.
“Our focus is on under-12, under-14 and under-18 players and there will not be any attention on men’s category and youngsters would be given chance,” he maintained. He further said that a nominal cash prize will be given to the players for their encouragement and in the future events that might be increased depending on the sponsorship.
He further stated that the final of the event will be held on May 14 while matches will be played daily in two sessions with the morning phase starting from 8.30 and in the evening game will start at 4 pm.
