Friendship with Pakistan has always remained the United States’ top priority, US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter said on Tuesday. “The US has always believed in close friendship with Pakistan,” he said while talking to reporters at a lunch hosted in his honour by APNS Executive Committee member and Daily Ibrat Editor-in-Chief Kazi Asad Abid, APP reported.
Munter said the Pakistan government should tell the world what Osama bin Laden was doing in Pakistan, Online reported. He said the US was cooperating and providing aid to Pakistan in the war on terror and the situation right now was at its worst, adding that Pakistan needed to explain why could its law enforcement agencies not locate bin Laden.
He said that bin Laden was an international terrorist and he was killed, adding that the war would continue for the elimination of more terrorists. Munter said peace loving countries should cooperate with the US.
