Bombing at Nowshera courts kills 2 cops

A bomb attack targeting the District Courts in Nowshera on Tuesday killed two police constables including a female officer and wounded six other people, police said.
The injured, including two policemen, were admitted to District Headquarter Hospital Nowshera where the condition of several wounded was said to be critical. The police said that the explosion occurred when a woman constable was searching the bag of a visitor at the courts parking lot. Police suspected that the terrorists had planted explosives on a Suzuki pickup van parked nearby.
Following the explosion, provincial senior minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour and Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain rushed to the site. They denounced the terrorists’ act. They also visited the injured at the hospital. Meanwhile, the slain woman police constable, Shazia, was later laid to rest in her ancestral graveyard at Charbagh after the funeral.
