Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed on Tuesday adjourned indefinitely, hearing of a petition against the US operation, which killed Osama Bin Laden in Abbottabad. The judge adjourned the hearing, as a similar matter was pending in the Supreme Court.
Advocate Ishtiaq Chaudhry filed the petition making the foreign minister, interior minister, defence minister and information minister as respondents. The petitioner submitted that the federal government did not take the people into confidence regarding the US operation, which had directly attacked the sovereignty of Pakistan. Ishtiaq said that the US operation caused serious threats to the country, as now anyone could launch an attack against Pakistan anytime.
He requested the court to direct the federal government to inform the nation about the real facts of the US operation.
