‘Defenders were asleep during Osama raid’

Jamaat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that the concepts of national dignity, independence and sovereignty s were alien to the rulers and the nation must get rid of them to free itself from the US slavery.
Talking to different delegations at Mansoora, he said that the drone attacks were continuing even after the shameful Abbotabad incident but the rulers were keeping silent. The government had done irreparable loss to the national honour because of its cowardly attitude vis a vis the US and the people felt insecure.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that Osama bin Laden symbolized revolt against the US which could not be crushed by force. He said this revolt against the US was spreading and US puppets ruling in different countries were falling one by one. He added that the US could not protect Zardari and Gilani from the peoples wrath.
He said that the wounds of Raymond Davis’s release had been fresh in the mind of the nation when the US helicopters violation our airspace and but our defense system remained inactive and the defenders of the nation were asleep. The JI chief said that the PPP which had failed to trace Benazir Bhutto’s killers during its three years rule could not protect the masses.
He said that persons like Rehman Malik were fulfilling US and Indian agenda which wanted to destroy our nuclear assets. He said while the masses considered the US their worst enemy, rulers considered it their best friend. He said this time the nation was united to free the country from the US slaves in power.
In a statement from Mansoora on return from a visit to Muzaffargarh, Liyyah, Multan, DG Khan, Khanewal and Rajanpur districts, Jamaat e Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch has accused the government agencies of adopting anti-grower attitude in the purchase of wheat especially in the flood affected areas of southern Punjab.
Baloch said that PASSCO and the Punjab government were not purchasing wheat from the farmers, nor were providing them gunny bags. He said that the Punjab government target for wheat procurement this year was very low whereas there had been a bumper crop in the flood areas of the province.
