Gujranwala additional sessions judge summoned Gujranwala DHQ Hospital medical superintendent and police to submit report for conducting autopsy of a girl by a male servant instead of a lady doctor.
The court issued this order on a writ petition praying for registration of a case against DHQ Lady Doctor Monica and an employee Malik Sana Ullah. The petitioner told the court that 22-year-old Nazia was shot dead owing to aerial firing in a marriage party and Alipur Chattha police brought her body to the DHQ hospital for autopsy.
It added that Dr Monica was assigned the task of postmortem but she did not bother to visit morgue and Malik Sana Ullah, an employee of the DHQ with no medical qualification, put off clothes of the body and did its postmortem. The petitioner alleged that Dr Monica committed crime by handing over the body to a male staffer for autopsy and prayed for lodging criminal cases against both of them.
GHAIBANA NAMAZ-E-JANAZA OFFERED FOR OSAMA: The Gujranwala District Bar Association’s members offered ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza for Osama bin Laden in the lawn of the Sessions Courts Complex. Muhammad Saeed Hujra led the prayers while DBA President Zaigum Ullah Sansi and other office bearers termed Osama a martyr of Islam. The lawyers also shouted slogans against American aggression and violation of Pakistani boundaries as well as international laws.
