Professionals protest inflation, load shedding

Engineers, Doctors, Professors and other professionals residing in TECH, Alpha and PCSIR Societies conducted a peaceful protest along with their families at Canal Bank Road in front of TECH Society Gate on Sunday. While talking to the press and media on this occasion Engineer Abdul Majeed Khan, Coordinator said that the Rulers of Pakistan should care the poor downtrodden people of our country and they should take quick action to get rid of corruption for better economy.
Agricultural Scientist Dr. Muhammad Sadiq said that justice, education and health facilities should be cheaper. Zubair Sheikh pointed out that poor people are becoming poorer due to unequal distribution of resources in Pakistan. Famous scientist and winner of Sitara-e-Imtiaz and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz Mansoor Ahmed said that the government should play due role to resolve national problems. Engineer Muhammad Zubair said that economy of Pakistan was going down day by day whereas men who matter are becoming richer in Pakistan.
Iftikhar ul Haq informed that Pakistan is facing many problems at this juncture but they had focused to the only 4 issues namely: price-hike, unemployment, corruption and load-shedding in the first phase. It was kept in mind while conducting this peaceful protest that there should be no hindrance in traffic. Col. (Retd) Mahmood Shah stressed the need of solving the electricity shortfall in the country on priority basis.
A huge number of protestors were carrying playcards mentioning various slogans containing demands from the government on this occasion.
