Bereaved Younis set to return home

Pakistan’s former captain and senior batsman Younis Khan will return home from the tour of West Indies on Sunday after his elder brother passed away in Germany. The Pakistan Cricket Board has permitted the senior player to return home immediately from the West Indies where the team is due to play two Tests from May 12.
“Younis is returning home today as unfortunately his elder brother, Shamshad Khan has passed away in Germany,” a board official said. This is not the first time that the senior batsman has suffered a personal tragedy while playing for the national team. One of his other brothers also expired in Ukraine four years back while Younis was playing against England.
