Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon appealed to the PPP’s Central Executive Committee on Saturday to take disciplinary action against former foreign affairs minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Addressing a press conference at the PPP Sindh Media Cell, Memon criticised Qureshi for his remarks at a press conference in Lahore and said that the former foreign affairs minister has violated party discipline and disciplinary action must be taken against him.
He said no individual has any worth in his individual capacity and before criticising the party or leadership, the one should vacate the seat, which he won through contesting election on a party ticket.
He said all leaders and activists of the PPP are proud of the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari.
He said the PPP’s leadership is practicing politics in the greater interests of the country.
Memon said that the country is passing through a difficult situation and Pakistanis should show to the world that they are united. The provincial information minister said that there are no rifts in the PPP and this is the same party that was founded by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and now it is working under the leadership of Zardari.
