Lahore, Faisalabad in PHF Jr Super League final

Lahore and Faisalabad qualified Saturday for the final of the third PHF Junior Super Hockey League being played here at the National Hockey Stadium.
On Saturday, Lahore beat Sialkot while Faisalabad eased past Multan to reach final to be played today (May 8). In the first semi-final, Faisalabad scored one goal each in either halves to beat Multan. Bilal Qadir and Waseem Abbas made the most of their chances to get Faisalabad into the final to face Lahore. In the second semi-final, Lahore received tough resistance from Sialkot but they managed to reach the title fight. Lahore though got lead in the early quarter of the match, but Sialkot kept attacking but got their leveler in the second half.
That one-all game prompted Lahore to crawl back and ultimately they got their second goal just 10 minutes before the close of the game. Director General Sports Board Punjab, Jamshaid Dawoodi, was the chief guest of the opening match while Abdul Hanif Khan, chairman national selection committee was the chief guest.
