The officials of the Irrigation Department and the district administration were directed during a meeting on Saturday to repair flood-protective bunds within the stipulated time.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and PPP Ladies Wing Chairperson MNA Faryal Talpur jointly presided over the meeting at the Chief Minister’s House on the developmental process and public-oriented programmes in Sukkur district.
Shah – also the PPP-Sindh president – stressed upon the elected representatives and party office-bearers to make concerted efforts for resolving the problems of people and ensure that the basic needs of public are fulfilled.
The Sindh chief minister stressed upon the elected representatives and party leaders to work with full devotion and vigilance for completion of development works.
MNA Talpur also emphasized upon the elected representatives and party office bearers to work hard and have constant contact and liaison with masses for the developmental schemes in the province.
The meeting was attended by Federal Religious Affairs Minister Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Sindh Revenue Minister Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar, Sindh Irrigation Minister Jam Saifullah Dharejo, Sindh Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, PPP Sukkur General Secretary Arshad Mughal, Sindh Chief Secretary Abdul Subhan Memon, Additional Chief Secretary (P&D) Muhammad Ishaq Lashari, Secretary to Chief Minister Alamuddin Bullo and MPAs Anwar Ahmed Khan Mehar, Syed Javed Hussain Shah, Rai Naz Bozdar and Pitambar Sewhani among others.
Later, another meeting under the co-chairmanship of the Sindh chief minister and Faryal Talpur was held with elected representatives and PPP’s office bearers of Ghotki district.
