Rain breaks heat spell

The city’s temperature dropped on Friday after Thursday night’s dust storm and rain and the temperature dropped to 36 degree Celsius from 43 degree Celsius.
Six millimetres of rain brought temporary relief to Lahoris from the summer heat. Citizens hoped the weather to remain pleasant over the weekend. The Met office predicted that the sky would remain cloudy on Saturday.
However, after Sunday, dry spells are expected. Rain, dust and thunderstorms were witnessed at isolated places in Sibbi division, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the last two days. The meteorological department predicted dry weather in most parts of the country while rain with dust and thunderstorm was predicted at isolated places of upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
