Pakistan State Oil (PSO) on Saturday has warned Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) of exceeding its agreed limit for the monthly oil supply.
According to a private television channel, the KESC extended load shedding hours after suspension of gas supply due to annual maintenance of gas fields.
However, PSO increased its supply from 50, 000 metric tons to 80, 000 metric tons to fill the gas-caused gap. Sources say that KESC is yet to make payments for additional supply.
On the other hand, KESC is carrying out eight to nine hours of power cuts in the name of maintenance.
