Security agencies arrested on Friday 30 residents of the area surrounding the compound where Osama Bin Laden was said to be killed. Officials in intelligence agencies said the arrests of suspected residents in Bilal Town and nearby Nawan Sheher was part of a search operation to nab those with links to the owners of the compound.
They said most of the arrested people were Afghans, and those who were not found to be involved would be freed after preliminary investigation. Authorities also washed off graffiti on Bilal Town walls that said “Osama Bin Laden Town”.
